The 12-months Accelerated Nursing Program For Foreign-Educated
Physicians (MD to RN) at Azure College is a specialized, 4-quarter
curriculum that transforms foreign-educated doctors into a US trained
nurse.
Upon completion, students will receive an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing. Graduates are eligible to apply to write the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurse practice (NCLEX-RN). Final determination of the applicant’s ability to sit for the licensing examination and to become licensed to practice in Florida is made by the Board of Nursing. Florida Educational Institute cannot assure licensure.
The program is offered both full time and part-time. The Full time
(11 months) courses are generally taught during the day; part-time (18
months) courses are generally taught evening and weekends. The part-time
track is convenient for those students who prefer to work
while attending classes.
